Hi,

I have purchased a Joomla template with akeeba kickstart installation. The problem is: the public_html folder doesn't accept the kickstar.php file and it's the only way to set up my website. I did change permission, editing the file using the Cpanel editor but no way always the same message.
The File Manager does not support extracting this type of archive

Help me to fix it.

Thank you

To avoid this type of incompatibility when generating a backup with Akeeba Backup in Joomla go to the settings of Akeeba select that the backup file generated is .zip by default Akeeba generates the copies in .tar.gz with this you should be able to restore the backup correctly.

Try installing on different folder and then try copying it to the original folder
